The old saying goes, April showers bring May flowers. This past week has been full of rain showers but we got lucky last Saturday when the rain held off during Justine and Matt’s engagement session. The trees and flowers were in full bloom and the overcast day made for great photos.

I met Justine and Matt through a photographer friend, Jeri Houseworth. Both Justine and Matt are teachers who live in Maryland. They are getting married in New Jersey, Justine’s home state, this coming Fall and Jeri’s company is photographing their wedding.

We kicked off the session in Savage Mills. I love photographing there since there are so many areas around the shopping center to be discovered.

In preparation for the big day, both Justine and Matt started dieting and exercising and to date, have lost almost 20 lbs each! They look amazing!!

Matt also coaches Varsity Baseball at a local High School so it was only fitting we take the engagement shoot to the field.
