I love doing OpLove sessions. It’s a great way to meet and give back to the men and women who serve our country and the families who love and support them. Not too long ago, I meet Laura and her son Nicholas at Fort Meade for some photographs. Laura wanted to have some photos with military items in the background so I suggested checking out the Fort George G. Meade Museum on the Ft. Meade base. If you haven’t been, check it out. It’s a cool little museum with tanks and even a helicopter! Great place to take the little ones to explore. There’s also a beautiful lake on base filled with fish, ducks, and the many many geese (very scary hissing geese!)…

Laura’s husband is a pilot in the National Guard and is currently deployed. The photos from our OpLove session will be printed in an album and sent directly to him! I also like to send a care package with the album full of snacks and goodies. It’s a nice little surprise in the mail for our service men/women who are fighting for our freedom and who are so far from their families and friends.

It’s hard to believe how time passes by in the wink of an eye. It felt like just yesterday that I photographed Helene’s maternity photos. Now, a little over a year later, Helene & Randy’s daughter, Valentina, has already turned one! I was excited and honored when Helene asked me to photograph Val’s 1st Birthday. The party took place at their local community pool which was a great way to cool off on this hot and humid day.

Valentina was full of smiles. Isn’t she the cutest?! Happy Birthday Little Val!

This was Val’s first sweet treat! Mmmmm…cupcake!

Meet itty bitty baby Alexander. He was born 4 weeks premature and weighed in at 5lb 6oz. Despite his tiny size he’s a beautiful strong and healthy baby boy. I sometimes get nervous handling newborns and was thankful that my sister came by to assist for the shoot. I think I’m definitely gaining more confidence the more I photograph these little human beings.

Last month, we welcomed my baby nephew, Bodhi into the world. He came a few weeks early but was a beautiful and healthy baby boy. Here are a few more photos of his mini session portraits. Don’t you just want to squeeze those chubby cheeks?!

I am honored every time a client decides to book me to photograph their wedding day. However, there is nothing more nerve racking then when a fellow photographer requests my services. I met Jessica and Coleman a few months ago. They had found my name through a friend of a friend’s cousin. Both Jessica and Coleman recently moved to Maryland.  Originally from Delaware, Coleman is a well versed and experienced photographer. Though it was both Coleman and Jessica’s second marriage, it was their first marriage to each other so they decided to make it a true celebration. Jessica has experience in event planning so both she and Coleman worked hard to cover every little detail of the wedding from the decorations to the food. Here are a few photos from their big day.
