michelle & john: howard county courthouse wedding {ellicott city maryland wedding photographer}

Originally from England, Michelle has traveled the world and has lived in many different places. One of those places she called home was Bermuda. And there, on the beautiful island, she met her soon to be husband, John.

Their long distance romance brought them to Maryland where John and his family are originally from. Both John and Michelle knew they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together and decided on a small ceremony at the Howard County courthouse. They are also planning on a bigger celebration in two years but wanted to give their families more time for travel and planning. I was excited and honored when Michelle contacted me to capture their intimate ceremony.

We arrived 15 minutes early and the clerk said since they didn’t have anything scheduled before Michelle & John’s ceremony, they would be able to fit them in earlier. Michelle turned to me and asked in her sweet English accent, “Well what do you think? Should we go for the earlier time?” I smiled and said “Up to you and John. Are YOU guys ready?”¬†We both laughed. Michelle took a deep breath, alright then…let’s do this!

The beautiful corsage and boutonni√®re were designed by Raimondi’s Florist in Columbia. For Michelle and John, the orchids have a special meaning since it reminds them of when they first met.

We decided to head to Old Ellicott City afterwards to capture a few more fun images.
