Time flies by so quickly! I can’t believe my niece, Taylor, is turning TWO next month! It’s been awhile since I had a chance to do a photoshoot with her. It’s was a gorgeous day out today…but hot hot hot! We did a quick mini photoshoot at the park then followed that with a trip to Cheeburger Cheeburger. Mmmmmm!

Today was such a gorgeous day for photos! I spent the morning in Patuxent State Park with the beautiful “S” family. I had the pleasure of meeting Natalie and her daughter Keelyn about a year ago at one of my sister’s mommy meetup groups. Keelyn was so little then, was just learning to sit up, and was one of the prettiest most photogenic babies I’ve met! I was excited to see how much she had grown and even more happy to be able to photograph the entire family this time.

Natalie also wanted to take a generations photo – I absolutely LOVED the idea!
Four generations of women – great grandmom, grandma, mom, and little Keelyn.

I had last Friday off and decided to try to spend it with my little rambunctious niece Taylor. The morning started off with an early trip to the mall for photos with the Easter bunny…the scary Easter bunny…
45 minutes waiting in line and this is the best shot I got…

My turn to try! I couldn’t help but LAUGH MY A@@ off at Taylor’s reaction to the Easter Bunny.

After a few minutes of balling her eyes out…Taylor is back to her normal sassy self…

We then headed to the AWESOME playground in Ellicott City. I wish we had this when I was growing up! Foam padded playground with zip line, rock wall, plenty of slides and monkey bars. You can see all the kids imaginations running wild as they whizzed pass on a quest to save the world or capture the secret agents! I was very very tempted to start climbing on the monkey bars but thought the parents might find it odd a 31 year old was playing on the playground. (of course I think I can still pull off looking 12)?

Last Saturday I finally got a chance to meet the “S” Family (minus dad who was working). Autumn (Mrs. S) and I have been emailing back and forth for several months trying to set up a photo session and finding ourselves having to reschedule due to snow, snow, and more snow! I was super excited that Saturday turned out to be a beautiful sunny day. The photo session took place at the S Family’s home in Maryland. This time my sister, Phuong, came along to assist. She is an aspiring photographer and it simply amazes me how much she’s grown since I’ve given her my old digital SLR camera to experiment with.

Lila and Noah were fun to photograph. At first, Noah was a bit shy but warmed up quickly and boy has the kid got spunk!

Mom was prepared with many outfit choices and hats! I thought it would be fun to do a hat series with little Lila.

Lila was such a good baby. She was full of smiles and hardly cried at all during the shoot. If all babies were this easy I might reconsider having kids. LOL. But for now, my two labradoodles will have to do…

Sibling Love…

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Saturday’s snow mixed with Sunday’s sunny weather made for a great day for some photos! Check out the B family and their three rambunctious boys! The boys were adorable and a lot of fun to photograph!

Happy 70th Birthday Annie!

I had the chance to photograph a wonderful 70th Birthday celebration this past weekend. The party was beautifully organized by Annie’s daughters, Aimee and Renee, and took place at Clydes in Columbia. The weather was so beautiful and sunny – I couldn’t help but pull the guests outside for some photos!

I grew up in Columbia, alot has changed since then, but the waterfront area still holds a sense of peace and friendly ambience.

It’s nice to see the wildlife still hang out around here. These geese thought we had some tasty treats and started to congregate as we approached to dock slip.

How do you keep 4 little kids still for a photo op? Have 8 adults standing behind you making silly faces and funny noises.

well…the photo op didn’t last long…

Annie with her grandkids.

Last Saturday was a great day for pictures at the park. I had the chance to photograph the “B” family at Sherwood Gardens in Baltimore. We ran into the annual tulip dig that day so a lot of the park was under maintanence. We were still able to get some great shots. Cutie pies, Peyton and Paige had fun exploring!

I had another fun shoot with little Jasmine over the weekend. This time, we tried some urban style photos in Baltimore. It was so windy and Jasmine’s hair went naturally wild!

My sister, Phuong, came along to shadow me. This was her first shoot and I think her images turned out great! See for yourself!

Some shots from March’s Mini Sessions.

It’s amazing how fast kids grow. My niece now has FOUR baby teeth in and has almost perfected walking (well, with assistance). She is always on the move and refuses to sit still. My mom and aunts joke, “this one’s going to be a trouble maker…just like her Aunt Trang!” Me? A troublemaker? Hahahaha. It’s not that I was a mischevious kid…more like, inquisitive and an explorer?
Here are a few photos from yesterday’s photoshoot. I love shooting with natural lighting. All the shots below were shot with natural light coming in from the windows.
I love the pink hat but Taylor was not having it!

She didn’t like they grey hat either….
