Originally from England, Michelle has traveled the world and has lived in many different places. One of those places she called home was Bermuda. And there, on the beautiful island, she met her soon to be husband, John.
Their long distance romance brought them to Maryland where John and his family are originally from. Both John and Michelle knew they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together and decided on a small ceremony at the Howard County courthouse. They are also planning on a bigger celebration in two years but wanted to give their families more time for travel and planning. I was excited and honored when Michelle contacted me to capture their intimate ceremony.
We arrived 15 minutes early and the clerk said since they didn’t have anything scheduled before Michelle & John’s ceremony, they would be able to fit them in earlier. Michelle turned to me and asked in her sweet English accent, “Well what do you think? Should we go for the earlier time?” I smiled and said “Up to you and John. Are YOU guys ready?” We both laughed. Michelle took a deep breath, alright then…let’s do this!
The beautiful corsage and boutonnière were designed by Raimondi’s Florist in Columbia. For Michelle and John, the orchids have a special meaning since it reminds them of when they first met.
We decided to head to Old Ellicott City afterwards to capture a few more fun images.
Congratulations Michelle & John! So happy and honored to be apart of your special day!
Washington DC is full of beautiful sites, from the historic monuments to the culture enriched museums, it’s truly a great place to experience. I was excited when Jenny contacted me for her DC wedding. Jenny & Ted both live in the District, and wanted a small and intimate wedding. They opted for a courthouse ceremony, followed by dinner at the Tabard Inn with family and close friends.
We found some great areas in the Tabard Inn for photos.
Congratulations Jenny & Ted! So happy to be apart of your big day!
April & David got married at the beautiful Osprey Point, located on the Eastern Shore. They did an amazing job putting together an intimate wedding with close family and friends in attendance. From picking out the picturesque venue to their special attention to details, everything came together perfectly. Here are a few selects from their beautiful wedding day!

I’ve been a member of the PPA (Professional Photographers of America Association) for a few years now but was hoping to find a local organization where I can meet and get to know other fellow photographers in the field. I recently joined the local chapter of the Maryland PPA and was so excited when I found out the next meeting was a stylized shoot! I looove styled shoots and was hoping to put together one of my own for a couple years now (after the Jessica Claire Workshop I attended a few years back) but just couldn’t find the time so this worked out great!
President, Mike Busada, and other members put together a fabulous session. There were two parts to the stylized shoot- one was the Eco Chic Wedding Session and the other an engagement session. Here are a few images from Part 1 of the shoot. Thank-you to all the MDPPA members who helped put this together and the incredible vendors! I had a great time shooting and meeting new friends- Part 2: The Engagement Session up next…

The BIG day can be very stressful for most people. But that wasn’t the case for Allison and Patrick. Their fun and relaxed personalities made me feel like I was spending the day with two old friends.
Allison’s mother was just as stunning as she was.
I love capturing the in-between moments…
My sister and I were excited with anticipation capturing Allison and Patrick during their “first look”.
I love this candid image of Allison and her big sister. You can tell they are very close… reminds me of my own big sis!
St. Ignatius church was absolutely beautiful, as was Allison when she walked down the aisle with dad.
My sister (who is also my assistant shooter) captured this artistic image while I was in front of the couple taking the formal. LOVE it!
The reception took place at The Engineers Club in Baltimore. I love the historic building and all the details inside.
Allison and her father rocked the dance floor with their father-daughter dance. You could tell they had a very special bond.
Congratulations Allison and Patrick. Thank you for allowing us to share in your special day!

Hillary and Tom decided to do a “First Look” prior to their ceremony. I love it when couples plan a “first look”, it gives them a great opportunity to spend a little quiet time prior to the hustle and bustle of the day to just BE with each other.
Hillary has the cutest little boy named Harper. This kid is going to grow up to be a heartbreaker!
I absolutely loved the thumbprint tree guest book!
Putting their own spin on tradition, Hillary and Tom both walked down the aisle together
Loved how they incorporated little Harper in their ceremony
The couple’s friend, Christopher, did a wonderful job officiating the wedding. He knew the couple so well which made the ceremony more personable and intimate.
Hillary and Tom, you two are absolutely stunning together…
Harper with his Dad, Jimmy.
Seriously, can the view get any better than this?
Harper and his mom share a special moment together…
Congratulations Tom & Hillary! Thank-you for letting us be apart of your big day. Wishing you much love and happiness. :*

September was a month full of rain… and of course, let’s not forget the hurricane that hit and left many of us without power for days. September 24th started off with an overcast and a high chance of rain but mother nature held off in time for Hillary and Tom’s wedding.
Hillary and Tom wanted a small intimate wedding with family and close friends. The wedding took place at a friends beautiful house hidden in Cambridge, Maryland right near the water.
I loved how the couple incorporated family into their big day. Hillary’s mom made the beautiful embroidered towels for guests to take home and her engagement ring belonged to Tom’s late mother.
Due to the heavy amount of rain Maryland received there were plenty of mosquitoes who showed up to greet us. Hillary and Tom came prepared with plenty of bug spray for themselves and their guests!
Up next… Part 2: The First Look
I am honored every time a client decides to book me to photograph their wedding day. However, there is nothing more nerve racking then when a fellow photographer requests my services. I met Jessica and Coleman a few months ago. They had found my name through a friend of a friend’s cousin. Both Jessica and Coleman recently moved to Maryland. Originally from Delaware, Coleman is a well versed and experienced photographer. Though it was both Coleman and Jessica’s second marriage, it was their first marriage to each other so they decided to make it a true celebration. Jessica has experience in event planning so both she and Coleman worked hard to cover every little detail of the wedding from the decorations to the food. Here are a few photos from their big day. Congrats Jessica & Coleman! Thanks for letting me capture you special day!
The wedding ceremony and reception took place in a beautiful church that was literally right next door to the couple.
Jessica’s eldest son walked her down the isle.
Jessica and Coleman’s beautiful children!
